ACTIVITIES

The small town, located directly by the sea on the northern coast of Sicily, is not overrun by tourism. However, its charming bars, shops, market, and seafront promenade invite you to take a leisurely stroll. Don't miss the chance to try a granita or an arancino at one of the many local bars!

Sant'Agata Militello is the perfect starting point for day trips. By train or bus, you can reach numerous must-see destinations, such as San Marco d'Alunzio, Cefalù, Palermo, Messina, Tindari, and the Marinello Nature Reserve, as well as Santo Stefano, famous for its beautiful ceramics. We recommend renting a car for these trips. Or, how about a boat trip to the Aeolian Islands?

The sea offers various beaches for swimming, while the mountainous hinterland awaits exploration. Just 8 km from Giardino di Sicilia, the Nebrodi Nature Park begins. Did you know that golden eagles nest here? A short drive takes you to a landscape that almost resembles a high-altitude mountain range, once called by the Arabs an "island within an island." Dense forests, green meadows, lakes, and waterfalls make visitors forget they are in the southernmost part of Europe.

Around Sant'Agata Militello, there are many picturesque, historically rich towns to explore—often off the beaten path and not found in standard travel guides. We’re happy to help you organize a wide variety of excursions, as well as sports and cultural events.
